Currently this feature is only for mobile app. The company says that soon the web version will also be equipped with this feature.

There will be less charge on the web version
According to the news, users will be offered a monthly subscription of Rs 599 when the web version is launched. Meta said that users in India can currently take a monthly subscription of Rs 699 on iOS and Android for this feature. For verified account subscription (Facebook verified account subscription), Facebook and Instagram users have to verify their account with official ID.

The company says that verified accounts will get security and support. Meta said, We are expanding our testing of the Meta Verified service in India after seeing good results from our initial testing in several countries around the world. We will also continue to honor previously issued verified badges based on existing criteria. Minimum activity requirements must be met for Facebook’s verified account. Users must be at least 18 years old.
